So many of us women have been in abusive relationships with men who demean, hit, mock, control and in general do everything in their power to whittle us down to nothing. If you are in a relationship you're not comfortable with because of any of these behaviors, You Are Not Crazy is an excellent resource providing insight for understanding your situation, and encouragement to give yourself permission to leave.

What Should I Write About?

See the little box in my right hand side bar (under the Donate button?) It reads, "What should I write about?" This is a clever device to help with writer's block. Please feel free to make a suggestion, I could use some imput! I can't promise to write on every subject suggested, but I'll do my best, so go ahead and challenge me.

My suggestion as too long so I'll place mine here.

Our earth is a beautiful place. We don't have to look too hard to find earthly beauty. As a matter of fact we often stumble on it and marvel as if it's something out of the ordinary. What is it about yourself that is beautiful and known to others yet you still marvel. I for one note your skill as a nurturing mother and grandmother.

Ha! I'm not a grandmother, I'm a nana!

I don't think this is a fair exercise, as I find it hard to see beauty in myself. Couldn't you come up with something less daunting? I could, for instance, enumerate my faults...

Excuse the word grandmother....sorry about that. That word is for the elderly. Clearly you are still in the prime of your youth. My bad.

Your writing exercise can be completed after you, Nana, hit the big 5-6. You can write about just one beautiful thing about yourself, just one. And don't go into how difficult the assignment is, blah, blah, blah just give us the facts ma'am, just the facts.
Note: If I have to be in therapy then I insist others suffer along with me. This means more assignments are sure to come. No need to thank me, I'm happy to help. :0)
